The Regional Alliance for Economic Development received a full license for the world’s first REGIONAL World Trade Center in 2005. The MountainSouth World Trade Center (MSWTC) region encompasses a 75-mile radius from our region's economic core: the Tri Cities Regional Airport (TRI).

The MountainSouth World Trade Center region spans a significant part of the southern Appalachians including parts of Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The WTC's services stem from four key areas:
• Trade information (what's available?)
• Trade education (how do I trade?)
• Trade services (who can help me trade?)
• Trade missions (who are my partners in another country?)
