Unlike most places across the United States and the rest of the world, our region is able to boast a temperate year-round, generally mild climate while still maintaining four distinct seasons. Moreover, the variation in elevation across the region provides opportunities for differing degrees of climate. For example, if you like warmer weather you might prefer to live in the area's lower elevations with the majority of the population, where you will generally experience mild winters with only a little snow, a cool/warm spring, hot summer, and warm/cool fall. On the other hand you might choose to live at the higher elevations within our region to experience the beautiful snow of winter and milder summers.
