Ask almost anyone who has moved here from outside the region and they will tell you that the people here are friendly, proud of their rich history and very community and family oriented. This is due in part to the region's early inhabitants' reliance on one another "just to get by," a reliance that today makes it very easy for people moving to the area to feel at home right away.
Our region's people have both a strong sense of pride in living here and in the work they do. This strong work ethic is a key reason the area has seen tremendous business development growth over the last 30 years, and continues to be a major asset to the region in terms of future economic development.
